Privacy Policy

Current version effective: August 22, 2026

Scope and Operator

This Privacy Policy explains how Elysian Access LLC, operator of TripSociety, collects, uses, shares, and protects personal information when you use tripsociety.app, apply to the network, request a trip invitation, communicate with us, or use member features.

Information We Collect

  • ·Account information: name, email address, account identifier, profile image, role, and authentication activity.
  • ·Application information: selected professional roles, location, biography, social and portfolio links, audience information, travel frequency, referral source, and answers you choose to provide.
  • ·Profile and member information: public or member-visible profile details, interests, connections, proposals, collaboration activity, and saved items.
  • ·User content and uploads: photos, videos, documents, portfolio materials, deliverables, messages, and other files you intentionally choose to submit for a profile, trip, collaboration, or support request.
  • ·Trip-interest information: your authenticated identity, role, availability, basic passport-validity confirmation, transportation-planning preference, and written answers.
  • ·Communications: support requests, platform messages, Elysia concierge transcripts (including the selected mode, page, session identifier, typed or voice input method, and account identity or role when signed in), interview scheduling details, notifications, and correspondence.
  • ·Technical information: standard security and service logs that may include IP address, device or browser information, timestamps, requested pages, and error details.

Do not submit passport numbers, payment-card data, medical records, or emergency-contact details through general application, trip-interest, message, or support fields.

Device Permissions and Optional Inputs

  • ·Photos, videos, and files: TripSociety opens your device's file or media picker only after you choose an upload control. Only the items you select are uploaded and used for the profile, trip, collaboration, deliverable, or support purpose shown on screen.
  • ·Microphone and speech-to-text: where supported, tapping a microphone control may ask for microphone permission so your device or browser can convert speech into text. Typing remains available. TripSociety receives and may retain the resulting text and whether voice input was used; this feature is not designed to retain a reusable raw-audio recording. Your device or speech-service provider may process the audio under its own privacy terms.
  • ·Location and contacts: the current version does not request device location or address-book access. A city, destination, or travel origin you type is user-provided information rather than device-derived location.
  • ·Notifications: the current Base44 mobile version uses in-app and optional email communications and does not rely on native push-notification access.

You may decline an optional device permission and continue using the available manual alternative. We will update this Policy before materially expanding device access or non-essential tracking.

How We Use Information

  • ·Authenticate accounts and protect the service from abuse or unauthorized access.
  • ·Review applications and administer approval-only membership.
  • ·Evaluate trip-interest requests, coordinate hosts, and communicate next steps.
  • ·Operate member directories, profiles, messaging, collaborations, support, and safety workflows.
  • ·Send transactional application, interview, or trip communications.
  • ·Send optional marketing only where you have opted in or where otherwise legally permitted.
  • ·Diagnose errors, improve performance, maintain records, prevent fraud, and comply with law.

SMS and Mobile Communications

When you separately opt in to TripSociety appointment text messages, we may use the mobile number you provide to send transactional interview confirmations, booking changes, and reminder messages. Message frequency varies by appointment activity and is typically up to 4 messages per scheduled interview. Message and data rates may apply.

You may reply STOP to opt out of TripSociety text messages or HELP for help. SMS consent is not a condition of purchase or membership.

Mobile phone numbers and SMS consent information are not sold, rented, or shared with third parties or affiliates for their own marketing or promotional purposes. We may disclose mobile information only to service providers that process messaging on our behalf, as necessary to deliver the requested messages, or where required by law. SMS opt-in data and consent will not be shared with third parties for marketing purposes.

Payments and Advertising Technology

When the $29 USD TripSociety Application Review fee is enabled, payment-card and billing details are entered directly with Stripe and are not stored by TripSociety as raw card numbers. Stripe processes the payment for Elysian Access LLC.

TripSociety may receive and retain payment-related records such as the applicant email, Checkout Session and PaymentIntent identifiers, amount, currency, payment and refund status, receipt details, and timestamps. We use these records to reconcile the application, confirm payment, provide receipts, prevent fraud, handle billing errors, refunds, or disputes, and meet accounting or legal obligations.

TripSociety is not currently running behavioral-advertising tracking or a Meta advertising pixel on the public site. If optional analytics or advertising technology is introduced, we will provide any legally required notice and consent controls before non-essential tracking is activated.

When We Share Information

We do not sell personal information. We may disclose information only as reasonably needed to:

  • ·Operate the platform: A cloud application service provider supplies hosting, authentication, database, and related infrastructure.
  • ·Communicate: connected Gmail services may deliver fixed transactional email messages, and a messaging service provider may process opted-in mobile numbers solely to deliver requested transactional SMS communications.
  • ·Schedule approved interviews: Calendly may process scheduling information when you choose an available interview link.
  • ·Administer an experience: assigned hosts or relevant approved partners may receive information needed to review or coordinate a specific request, subject to their role and access.
  • ·Protect rights and safety: we may disclose information when reasonably necessary to comply with law, respond to lawful process, investigate abuse, or protect people and the service.
  • ·Complete a business transaction: information may transfer as part of a merger, financing, acquisition, reorganization, or sale, subject to applicable law.

Profile Visibility

Application records and internal review information are not public. Approved profile information may be visible to the profile owner, approved members, relevant hosts or partners, or the public only according to the profile's approved visibility setting. Contact information, internal notes, payment identifiers, and private operational details are restricted.

Cookies and Similar Technology

Essential cookies or storage may be used for sign-in, security, saved application progress, preferences, and core site operation. Blocking essential storage may prevent some features from working. Non-essential advertising tracking is not currently enabled.

Retention

We retain information for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this Policy, including application review, active membership, trip coordination, support, safety, dispute prevention, and legal or accounting obligations. Retention periods vary by record type and context. We delete or de-identify information when it is no longer reasonably needed, subject to lawful exceptions and backup cycles.

Security

We use administrative and technical safeguards designed to protect personal information, including authenticated routes, role-based and record-level access controls, server-side validation, and HTTPS in transit. No system is perfectly secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

If you believe your account or personal information has been compromised, contact us promptly and change or secure any affected sign-in method.

Your Choices and Rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to request access, correction, deletion, portability, restriction, or objection regarding personal information. You may also withdraw marketing consent at any time without affecting earlier lawful processing.

You can permanently delete your account in Account Settings → Delete Account. Certain legal or financial records may be retained only where required by law.

Submit other privacy requests through the Contact page. We may need to verify your identity before acting and may retain information where legally permitted or required.

International Use

TripSociety may serve people in multiple countries. Information may be processed in the United States and other places where service providers operate. Applicable safeguards and legal rights depend on the location and circumstances.

Children

TripSociety is intended for adults aged 18 and older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. Contact us if you believe a child submitted information so we can review and take appropriate action.

Third-Party Sites

Links to social platforms, portfolios, Calendly, travel providers, and other third-party sites are governed by those third parties' privacy practices. Review their policies before providing information.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Policy as the service or legal requirements change. Material changes will be presented through the site, account, or email when appropriate. The effective-version date above identifies the current policy version; non-material clarity improvements may be added without changing the underlying consent version.
